Alven Allen

Alven Allen went to be with the Lord on April 6th, 2024, in Charlotte, North Carolina after a short illness. He is survived by his daughter, Brianna Buckalew, her dog Pepper, his ex-wife Melissa Allen, his sister-in-law Jill Moorman, brothers-in-law Frank Lowery, Eric Moorman, nephews Jack Moorman, Lance Moorman, Austin Moorman, and niece Amanda (Moorman) Learned, He was born in Mobile, Alabama on October 3rd 1964, one of ten children born to Jean Allen.

After high school, he immediately went into the Army and then into the Special Forces and became an airborne Medic. He traveled extensively with the Army and then used his GI bill to go medical school. After finishing two years of medical school, while rock climbing, he fell 60 feet and landed on a rock and experienced a head injury. Due to this injury, he had memory loss and had to drop out of medical school. He then went back to working in the sign business, which he had done while in high school. He continued this until his death, most recently working at Atlas Sign Industries in Concord, NC.

In his spare time, he loved walking and spending time with Pepper. He also loved shooting guns at the gun range, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his favorite daughter, Brianna.
