Ms. Angela Regina Davis was born to the late Troy W. Davis and the late Katie F. Broadway Davis, in Wadesboro,
North Carolina. She grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and later made Fort Mill–Indian Land, South Carolina,
her home for the past 21 years.
Angela “Ann” — A Life Filled with Joy, Grace, and Love
Angela, affectionately known as Ann to so many, was a 1982 graduate of East Mecklenburg High School in
Charlotte, NC. She built a long and dedicated career in banking, working with Wachovia and The Federal Reserve
Bank for over 23 years. She later continued her service with Wells Fargo, until taking early retirement due to her
declining health.
Ann lived her life with joy and intention. She loved dancing, attending church, and spending time with her family —
the place where she felt most at home. Ann never missed a family gathering, and everyone knew she’d be the first to
show up if “hot fish” was on the menu. She enjoyed eating good food but somehow never gained a pound, always
maintaining her beautiful figure. Ann had a distinctive sense of style and was always dressed for the occasion never
missing the mark.
Her presence lit up every room, and she had a way of making everyone feel special, seen, and loved. Ann had a gift
for making friends wherever she went no matter the venue; her infectious smile and warm personality drew people
in effortlessly. Ann was cherished by all who met her. Her kindness, her laughter, and her radiant spirit will be
remembered forever.
Ann also shared a deep bond with her furry companion, Diamond, whom she lost a few years ago and missed dearly.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her grandparents; Clayton Broadway and Kattie Lotharp
Broadway and her best friend/cousin Brenda Ingram Little.
Ann leaves behind to cherish her wonderful memories, a loving and most supportive son; Floyd A. Davis of the
home; one grandson; Josiah C. Chapman of Kannapolis, NC; three sisters; Mildred A. Davis, Tina Davis, and
Audrey H. Davis all of Charlotte, NC; one brother; Troy A. Davis of Burlington, NC; three aunts; Everlina G.
Broadway, Shirley T. Broadway both of Locust, NC; Genova B. Griffin (Paul) of Oakboro, NC; three nieces;
Latisha R. Davis, LaTina N. Davis both Charlotte, NC; Taylor-Alexus J. Dowdle of Albemarle, NC; three nephews;
Gregory L. Gatewood, Jr., Anthony D. Davis, Michael D. Davis all of Charlotte, NC; along with an abundance of
cousins and friends.
