Anita P. Jones

Mrs. Anita P. Jones was born February 24 ^th , 1932, in Manhattan, NY to the late Clyde and Helen Tolbert. On November 22 ^nd , 2021, Mrs. Anita P. Jones went to be with her Lord and Savior.

At an early age Mrs. Jones joined the Eastern Star in Bronx, NY, she was also a member in New Jersey and in Charlotte, NC.

Mrs. Jones completed 2 years of college at Fordham University in New York and continued to finish nursing school.

After 30 years of service Mrs. Jones retired in 1982 from the New York Dept. of Social Services.

She moved to Charlotte, NC in 1991 and met the love of her life Otto Jones in March of 2005, they were married March of 2007.

Mrs. Jones became a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in 2009 and was part of the group Seniors on the Move.

Anita is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Randolph, Ulysses and Thomas and sister Earnestine.

She leaves to cherish her life, love and laughter her husband Otto C. Jones, lots of cousins including George, Edward Butts, Walter Russell and family, nieces Patricia Tolbert (Thomas Whitaker) of New York, Tonda Talbert (Ronald Abney) of Indiana, LaVerne (Bryant) McNeil of North Carolina, nephews Glenn, Earnest, Larry, Andy and Marcus and much much, more nieces and nephews and a host of great and great great nieces, nephews and friends who will all miss her dearly.
