Anndraze Laytease "Tisa" Mcshaw

Mrs. Anndraze Laytease McShaw, affectionately known by her family and friends as "Tisa," was born May 4, 1957, in Shelby, NC, to Margaret and John McShaw. This beautiful Angel gained her wings on March 3, 2021, while visiting family in Mt. Vernon, NY. Tisa spent most of her childhood in Shelby, NC, and attended Northwest Elementary School, where she acquired a host of friends and formed strong bonds with many distant and close relatives. After leaving Shelby, Tisa journeyed to Port Chester, NY, where she would then attend Port Chester school systems. During her early life, Tisa being the eldest grandchild of Pearl Degree Flack spent a great deal of her childhood with her many aunties, siblings, cousins, uncle, and grandmother while living in NY. It was from her position as the eldest grandchild that Tisa would develop her passion for keeping things in an orderly fashion, neatness, and her overall skills at cleaning and her commitment to assisting and caring for others, and most importantly the unbreakable bond and love she had for her family. Tisa was known for her love of traveling from up North back to down South to check in on family and friends. But whatever city she was residing in, she would always use her skills as a residential house cleaner and caregiver to find a job there. She was known by how immaculately she could clean houses. But she also loved keeping herself dressed up, putting on nice clothes, especially dresses and cute skirts. And afterwards taking pictures of herself. Because Tisa loved to travel, but loved God most, she made it her business to attend any church, in every city that she visited. She enjoyed posting daily scriptures on social media and listening to Kirk Franklin. Some of the highlights of her life were talking to her only son and grandchildren, family gatherings and dressing up. But she will be mostly remembered by how she left footprints of love in the lives of everyone she cared for. She was preceded in eternal rest by her brother, Anthony McShaw. Left to cherish her memories are her only son, Barry McShaw; 4 grandsons; mother, Margaret McShaw; father, John McShaw; brother, John Henry of Shelby, NC; sisters, Janice "Kay" McShaw of Nyack, NY, Angela McShaw and Tanya McShaw, both of Mt Vernon, NY, and Sharon McShaw of Durham, NC; aunts, Cecelia Burton of Harrisburg, NC, Jacqueline Jackson and Queenie McShaw, both of New Rochelle, NY, and Selena Flack of Kings Mountain, NC; and uncles, Alvin McShaw of Mt. Vernon, NY, and Floyd McShaw of Shelby, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
