Annie Cason

Ms. Annie Mae “Coot” Cason was called to Heaven on Saturday May 25, 2024 at her place of residence.

Annie was born on September 5, 1935 in Huntersville, NC. She was
the daughter of the late Dave and Annie Alexander. She was
preceded in death by her grandson Favian N. Cason, sisters; Asilee
Rawlings, Edessa Gaston, Lucina Cherry, Mary Alexander,
Ernestine Alexander, Geneva Neal & nephew/brother Willie “Mack” Alexander.

Annie graduated from Torrence Lytle High School in Huntersville,
NC in 1954. Annie began her career in Childcare. She later worked
in Manufacturing as an Assembly Operator. She then ventured
back into Childcare only to return back to Manufacturing where she retired from Selectron Technology.

Annie enjoyed being out in the yard tending to her garden and
flowers. She enjoyed working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles.
Her children and grandchildren always considered her a jack of
all trades where she could fix just about anything.

She attended Wilson Heights First Church of God where she served
as a Missionary and a member of the Platinum Divas & Gents.
Annie leaves to cherish her life and memories, her daughter,
Vanessa Gilliard (Ken), son, Aaron Cason; one granddaughter
Letitia Crite (Willie); one grandson Xavier Dominique Cason; one
great-granddaughter, Tykaia Miracle Rose. Sisters Elizabeth
Woods (David) and Vonetta Ridge (Samuel), Sandra Graddy
(niece) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
