Annie Lee Mason

Mrs. Annie Lee Springs Mason was born on July, 27, 1936, in Huntersville, NC, to the late Ernest and Mary Springs. She departed this earthly life on January 1, 2021, at her home, surrounded by family. God called her home to His Kingdom. Annie, for over 30 years, was a faithful and devoted member of the St. Paul Baptist Church family. She served on the Hospitality and Usher Board Committees until her health declined. To meet Annie was to love her. Her gracious smile and laughter would light up a room. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, Annie was loved by many. She was family oriented and took great care of all of her grandchildren as they grew up. She did "everything in love" (1 Corinthians 16:14). Annie enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family. She was a devoted wife for 63 years. Annie was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Mary Springs, late husband Willie T. Mason, five brothers, and four sisters. Annie leaves to cherish her love, gracious smile, gentle spirit, and precious memories: her children—one son, Thomas Mason (Selena); five daughters, Corine Owens (Daniel), Ruth McRae (Willie), Dorothy Mason, Alice Mason (Freddie), and Catherine Thomas (Henry), all of Charlotte, North Carolina; one sister, Rosetta White, and one brother, Robert Springs, both of Charlotte, North Carolina; nine grandchildren, Anthony Morris (Dana), Jermaine Glenn (Ashley), Latasha Mason, Joshua Morrison (Cat), Jaree Thomas, Jada Thomas, Erica Mason, Bernard Mason, and Thomas Mason, Jr., all of Charlotte, North Carolina; six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jackson, Alayah, Jaleigh, Jamir, JaKayla; a host of special nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
