Listen to Obituary

Mr. Ansley Paul departed this life on Wednesday September 23, 2026, going from earthly labor to Heavenly reward.

Ansley was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on April 24, 1976 to Frantz and Marie Paul. He was raised both in Venezuela and the United States. Ansley graduated from Tilden High School in Brooklyn, New York. After high school, Ansley attended the University of Rochester where he double majored in Economics and Finance/Marketing. At U of R, Ansley got saved and was baptized at Church of Love in Rochester - committing his life to Christ. After college graduation, he accepted a new career opportunity requiring relocation to Charlotte. Ansley fell in love with the city of Charlotte and the Queen City welcomed him with open arms. He obtained an MBA from Strayer University in Charlotte. During his extensive and astonishing career, Ansley has been employed with Xerox, Lowe’s, Wells Fargo, and most recently as a Vice President with Bank of America.

Ansley loved science fiction and was intrigued by politics. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially football and basketball. Ansley was a BIG fan of all New York teams, especially the Giants, Jets, and Knicks. He looked forward to the Superbowl so much that for the last few years, he hosted an annual Superbowl party for his closest friends in Charlotte.

Ansley was intentional about the love and care he poured into his son, supporting Ansley Jeremiah in Cub Scouts, basketball, soccer, and reinforcing the importance of homework and education overall. Ansley spoke three languages: English, Haitian Creole, and Spanish. But he was so humble that he rarely shared that with anyone. He was quiet, yet strong, a force to be reckoned with. He played chess and much like the game of chess, Ansley made moves in life for the long game, all while being caring and loving.

After college, Ansley faced a serious health challenge and was added to the list for a kidney transplant. After an almost 5-year wait, he was blessed to receive a kidney in October 2013. That same month, he received a new job offer and relocated to South Florida. He married the love of his life, Sheris, in Key West, Florida in January 2014 and they were blessed with a son, Ansley Jeremiah, in 2016. Ansley then led the family to relocate from Miami in 2018 because Charlotte always held a special place in Ansley’s heart. In Charlotte, Ansley was a faithful member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church until recent health challenges.

Ansley leaves many loved ones to cherish his memory, including his beloved wife, Sheris Paul, of Charlotte, North Carolina; one son, Ansley Jeremiah Paul, also of Charlotte, North Carolina. Ansley is survived by his mother, Marie Paul, of Brooklyn, New York; brother, Alan Paul, also of Brooklyn, New York; and a host of special cousins, aunts, other relatives, and best friends including Ingrid Lezama, Ralphael Fornes and Francis Clement.

Ansley was preceded in death by his father, Frantz Paul, his grandparents, and his beloved Godmother, Acephie Cesar Dagrin.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace knowing Ansley’s warmth and laughter will live on in all who were blessed to know him.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
