Antonio Maurice Brown was born the third child of Robert and Annie Mae Brown on December 24, 1970. Tony departed this earthly body on February 19th at Atrium Health surrounded by family.
Tony grew up in the Druid Hills Neighborhood and attended independence high School. He worked as a cool at Bojangles and form there he was employed by DSI at Douglas International Airport.
Tony's greatest passion was cooking. He enjoyed the family cook-out and gathering where he was the designated chef. He was a natural born chef. His dream was to open his own restaurant and the name would be "Golden Brown". Because that was how his chicken and fish would be, golden brown. No one could do better black pot fish than Tony.
His favorite past time was fishing. Ask kids he and his cousin, William, would go to their favorite fishing hole in the Derita neighborhood on Sundays. His mother always told them, the devil's going to get you for fishing on Sunday. One Sunday, they caught a black snake and ran home to tell it. Mom said, "I told you the devil would get you fishing on Sunday." That was the end of that. Tony had a love for dogs. He always had a dog. This favorite was "Trouble". That love was so great, he had a picture of Trouble and his name tattooed on his back. He loved working on Go-Carts, building and repairing them in his youth.
Tony was an avid Dallas Cowboys Football fan. Winning or losing, that was his team. Second to Dallas was the Carolina Panthers. Love for family was always in his heart.
He was truly a "Mama's Boy". Be it holidays, birthdays or just because gathering with family brought him great joy. Spending time with his grands was a delight for him. Tony was a quiet soul that loved his children and grandchildren.
Tony was preceded to the heavenly gates by his father, Robert Brown, Sr., and his son, Shay Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Annie Mae Brown, his siblings, Trena V. Lindsay, Robert Jr. (Courtney) and Sabrina (Steven), his children, Rodriquez, Kishoun, Tory, Brye, Rasheda and Lakitheia, his loving grands, Ki'shea, Kimora, Jaliea, Tory Jr., Jordan, Brye Jr., Zamari Jarod and Ariah Braelynn, and a host of aunts, uncles nieces and nephews.
