Barbara Sue Griffin

Mrs. Barbara Sue Sturdivant Griffin, 67 of 8027 Glencannon Drive Charlotte, North Carolina was born on March 8th 1951 to the late Edgar Sturdivant and Orrie Sturdivant of Kannapolis, North Carolina. She departed life on Thursday, January 31st 2019 at Aldersgate Retirement Hospice Center of Charlotte, North Carolina. Barbara Sue graduated South Rowan High School in China Grove, North Carolina from the professional empowerment program in 1984, she earned medical certifications throughout Rowan Cabarrus Community College in 1998 and later graduated from Salisbury Business College within their Medical Secretary Program finding employment in the medical field. Eloping to her best friend and husband Curtis Ezel Griffin, Jr. Of 47 years this coming June, the two became faithful in the church placing final membership at University Church of Christ in Charlotte, North Carolina. Barbara Sue was an affiliate of chapter #748 Order of the Eastern Star located in Kannapolis, North Carolina and was a joyful asset to the AMF University Lanes bowling league of Charlotte, North Carolina. Left to cherish precious memories are husband Curtis E. Griffin, Jr. Of Charlotte, North Carolina, sister, Maggie Neal (Willie) of Landis, North Carolina brother Johnny Delahoussaey, of China Grove, North Carolina, a son Brio Griffin of Charlotte, North Carolina, two daughter Shameka Baines (Jamil) and Shirdea Lester (Charles) both of Charlotte, North Carolina one grandbaby Sebastian Baines of Charlotte, North Carolina and four grandchildren Alyssa Baines and Shayla Lester both of Charlotte, North Carolina, Elijah Hill of Kannapolis, North Carolina and Kierra Campos of Tampa, Florida, aunts and uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
