Bernice L. Dowdy

Mrs. Bernice Dowdy of Charlotte, died on Monday, September 30, 2013, at Novant Presbyterian Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Dr. David Dowdy and daughter, Tracy D. Mahood (John) of Pittsburgh, PA. Service is to be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3400 Beatties Ford Road. Family visitation will begin at 11am with service to follow at 12noon. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials can be made to: American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and Friendship Missionary Baptist Mission Fund. Interment will be at Sharon Memorial Park.
