Betty Jean Barrino, age 85, departed this life on Monday, April 12, 2021, at Atrium Health Carolina Medical Center. She was born on May 28, 1935, in Monroe, North Carolina, to the late Reuben and Blanche McClellan. Betty was married to the late Charles Furman Barrino. She attended secondary school in Union County. Betty started her employment in her early years with The Chicken Poultry on Central Avenue in Charlotte, North Carolina. After many years there she went to work for Radiator Specialty as an inspector for several years until retirement. She was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member for many years. Betty was a loving and caring person who always looked after her family. She was always willing to help anybody any way she could. Betty was the type of person that would go without to make sure someone else had. Even when her health started to fail her she would still do what she c, ould to help someone. She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Angelia Barrino Lowe (Wayne); three sons, Ronnie Barrino, Harold Barrino (Gina), and Deacon Barry Barrino (Kathy); eight grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Harris and Helen Wilkerson both of Charlotte, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Ada Funderburk of Charlotte, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
