Betty J. Jordan

Betty Joyce (Mobley) Jordan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on December 22, 2024 in Charlotte, NC, leaving a legacy of love and memories.  Born on November 5, 1944, Betty was the daughter of the late David and Selma Williams Mobley.

She attended Plato Price High School for 11 years then transferred to York Road High School in 1961.  She graduated high school in 1962 and Met T.C. Clardy.

In 1981, she met and married Robert Jordan and remained united until her passing.  Betty was employed by Frito Lay and Home Instead for many years.  She was a very active member of Mt. Zion AME Church in Fort Mill, SC where she served on the deaconess board.

Betty is preceded in death by her son Antonio Clardy; three brothers: Robert (Dub) Mobley, Bob Mobley, and Billy Joe Mobley; three sisters: Sarah Watson, Zoretta Diggs, and Delores Briggs.  She is survived by a loving husband Robert Jordan; two daughters: Trina Clardy and Benetta Clardy and a brother: Rosevelt Mobley, grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends who are deeply grieved by her passing and who will forever treasure her memory.
