Early Saturday morning, December 12, 2020, God whispered to Beverly Ann Faggert, "come, take your rest," so she exchanged this life for life eternal. Beverly was born on June 24, 1945, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Ruben Smith and Elmonia Hough Smith. She attended Western Union High School, and was a graduate of the class of 1964. Beverly dedicated 25 years to the school system and worked 15 years at Sears. She also attended First Missionary Baptist Church in Concord, North Carolina. Beverly's fondest memories were spent with the love of her life—her husband and best friend. When you saw him, you would see her. They were always together and always in love. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Carbit Hough; two sisters, Marcell Walton and Larydale Walton; two brothers-in-law, Ivery and Buford Black; and her sister-in-law, Jean Gaines. She leaves to cherish her memories: Gilbert Faggert, husband of 50 years; one son, Gilbert Faggert, Jr. (Anna) of Snellville, Georgia; one daughter, Monica Faggart Bailey (Steven) of Concord, North Carolina; one grandson, Isaiah Faggart (Jamicia) of Concord, North Carolina; one great-grandson, Ja'Ceon White; one brother, Melvin Torrence (Barbara) of Mineral Springs, North Carolina; one sister, Margretta Morrison (Lester) of Mineral Springs, North Carolina; one special daughter, Penni Hough of Concord, North Carolina; seven sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
