Billy Wiggins

September 9, 1963 — August 3, 2022

Billy Marcell Wiggins went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, August 3,
2022, in the presence of his wife.
Bill was born September 9, 1963. A native of Flint, Michigan and a 1981 graduate
of Flint Southwestern High School. After high school, he joined the United States
Marine Corps, worked a as Fuel Specialist and was affectionately known as
“Gunny”. Bill dedicated his time to coaching football in the community and
coaching his two sons. During this time, he touched many lives by his leadership
and his wisdom of football. He truly lived by the saying: “No Man Left Behind”.
Bill loved to travel, watch football, and spend time with his grandchildren. Bill was
always optimistic and had a smile that would light up the room. He was a
dedicated loving husband, father, and was a friend to anyone in need. Bill was
welcoming of everyone he met, and he was loved by everyone who knew him. Bill
will be deeply missed.
Billy Marcell Wiggins is survived by devoted wife Olga Wiggins, sons Billy Wiggins
II (Kayla), Brelend Wiggins (Jessica), his number one grandson, Billy (Trey) Wiggins
III of Winston Salem, and nine additional cherished grandchildren, sister Arritta
Pruitt, niece Erin Pruitt of Charlotte NC, brother Robert Pruitt of El Paso, TX. He
also leaves to cherish his memory, a host of beloved nieces and nephews. And
special friends Charles and Audrey White.
Bill is preceded in death by grandparents, Sylvester & Rosetta Wiggins, mother
Mae Mackle, father Charles Pool, brothers Michael James Thrash, Charles Edward
Thrash, and Christopher Lee Pool.
