Carolyn entered this life on December 2, 1946 and was born to Carl and Josephine Timmons. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior. On August 21, 2021, she peacefully exchanged time for eternity at Beaumont Hospital in Wayne, Michigan.
Carolyn attended Guilford County Schools and graduated from James B. Dudley High School. She later attended Guilford College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Carolyn had a committed work ethic and dedicated 45 years of her work life to AT&T where she retired in December 2019. During her tenure, she assumed various roles and responsibilities working in the Charlotte, North Carolina office for many years and later finishing her management career in Belleville, Michigan.
For anyone that knew Carolyn, they knew that she liked to frequent a casino every once in a while to try her luck. She also enjoyed going to estate sales as she had an eye for valuable items. However, the one thing that she absolutely loved was traveling… going to places she had never been. She was extremely excited after retiring and was looking forward to exploring the travel scene on many different excursions until the pandemic put a halt to her travel ambitions. Carolyn continued to be mentally and spiritually strong which allowed her to dream about the time she would one day begin her travel around the world.
Carolyn was fun loving and kindhearted but could also be really tough when facets of life required it. She was a great counselor and wonderful listener. Even though she had a quiet humble spirit, she was a firm negotiator when it came to business dealings. She loved to spend time with friends and family just to catch up and grab a bite to eat. She appreciated the culinary skills of others often eating a bit of this and a dab of that during those special gatherings.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Shawn Turner (Warren) and Lynette Williams (Ronald); granddaughters, Quenisha Williams and Eboni Turner; great grandson, Zayvion Williams; sisters, Mary Timmons and Martha Crenshaw (Charles); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
