Carrie Vandiver-Grier

Born August 24, 1939 to Norman Evans Vandiver and Pearl Couch Vandiver Her birth name was Carrie Neal Grier Married 28 years to the late Earl Grier From that marriage came her only son Johann K. Grier, Charlotte North Carolina who is currently married to Mary Grier. Carrie Grier one of 14 siblings and currently : Mildred V. Harris, Barbara V. Jones, and Eugene Vandiver, a host of nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. She was a member of Deborah Chapter OES #424. Mrs. Grier would like to thank Friendship Trays, Inc. for over a decade of devoted service, Her Eastern Star Sisters who have always been there for her, We Care In Home Care, Inc. for providing excellent services during her final days on this earth, the nurses at Mercy Hospital 3rd floor who provided outstanding services during her stays there. She would also like to thank her friends and wonderful neighbors who have helped her over the years. A very special thank you also goes out to my Nieces Beverly Carter, Victoria Carter and Stephanie Carter who made the last year of my life the best year of my life. Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 1pm at Zechariah Alexander, Sr. Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Eastern Star Rights will be from 12:30 to 1:00.
