Charisse Alease Turner (‘Reese’ or ‘Ressie’ to family and friends) was born in Brooklyn New York on April 16, 1977 to Charles Turner and Vivian Turner, née McLaurin.
Charisse was raised in a loving and creative home where art and music were at the center of family activities. She had a magnificent imagination and natural gift for drawing and writing. As an adult, arts and crafts were her happy place. She expressed her love through elaborate decorations for family gatherings, thoughtful party planning and beautiful handmade gifts for loved ones.
She was an administrator and office manager who specialized in technical support systems, logistics and e-commerce management. She enjoyed her work immensely, and was loved and valued by her coworkers.
Charisse loved God first and foremost and her faith never waivered. Her favorite hymn was ‘Love Lifted Me’ and she found comfort in Christ Jesus. She attended New Canaan Baptist Church as a youth and later Oil of Joy Ministries II, both in Brooklyn New York.
Our Ressie will be remembered for her playful and generous spirit, and her compassionate heart. We are grateful for the lifetime of love, lessons and laughter that we shared.
The memory of her loving-kindness will be with us always. ♡
