Charles Webb

  Charles Anthony Webb passed away on Tuesday, May 7 th 2019. Charles was born in Seneca, SC (OconeeCounty) on December 31, 1956. If Charles had waited six more hours to make his grand debut he wouldhave been the first baby born in the United States for the year 1957 January 1st . Charles attended Seneca Public Schools (Oconee County) and graduated from Southside High School inGreenville, SC. He was a graduate of The University of South Carolina where he earned his Bachelors ofArts in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Media Arts. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi FraternityIncorporated. He was employed with The South Carolina Arts Commission for six years. He wasemployed with PSAV, an event technology service, for several years after moving to Charlotte, NorthCarolina. Charles was a peace maker and was well loved by his peers. Charles was the fourth child of the lateEdsel C. Webb, Sr. and Eleanor M. Webb. He was also preceded in death by his sister Sarah LaverneWebb. He leaves to cherish his memory one sister Ms. Felita W. Butler of Simpsonville, SC; fourbrothers: Mr. Edsel C. (Brenda) Webb, Jr. of Mauldin, SC; Mr. Robert E. (Aileen) Webb of Columbia, SC;Mr. Eddie Ray (Angie) Webb of Hopkins, SC and Mr. Richard Barry Webb of Simpsonville, SC, nine nieces,two nephews, eight great nieces, one great nephew and a host of relatives and friends.
