Charlie “Sunny” McClure Jr. was born June 13, 1938 to the late Charlie and Lillie McClure. He departed this life on Monday, February 18, 2019.

"Sunny" was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg County School System. He had a wry sense of humor that often left you with a puzzled expression. He enjoyed eating and looked forward to a good meal." Sunny" loved sports, especially basketball, and listening to Motown era music which was his favorite past time. He had a beautiful baritone voice and loved to sing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles Massey and Rob McClure.

He leaves to cherish his memory; former spouse Lillian McClure, two daughter: Juliet Williams (Freddie), Monica McClure Thomas (Gregory), two sons: Gary McClure (Michelle), Joe McClure, a host of grand children, nieces, nephews and cousins.
