Christopher Anthony Bailey, Sr.

Christopher was born on February 23, 1957, to the late Mary Francis Bailey. On Monday, December 7, 2020, Christopher Bailey (affectionately known as Pop-Pop) entered into eternal rest. Chris graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School in 1975. After graduation, Chris held several jobs, including General Motors and New Baby Diaper Services. In 1984, he landed his career with Frito Lay in Baltimore, Maryland, as a truck driver. In 1987, he transferred with Frito Lay to Charlotte, NC. Christopher was a man of God and was very active in church. He was in charge of the bus ministry, and was also a part of the Young Men of Valor, Women's Shelter Activities, Super Saturday Program, and various other outreach activities. He also coached basketball, football, and baseball for young boys. Christopher was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who attended all sports activities and events in support of his loved ones. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Zaunya Bailey; two siblings, Patricia Bailey and Eugene (Nadine) Bailey; seven children, Zhaunte, Chris, Jr. (Ebony), the late Reginald, Ashley, Cameron, Timiaya (Scott), and Romeo; grandchildren, Zion, Zoie, Zavion, Zaiden, Patience, Jasmine, Autumn, Anaiya, Carma, Izanya, Zane, Zion, Amir, Elijah, Olivia, and Andrew; and a host of family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
