Christopher L. Jones

Christopher LaRai Jones, devoted father, proud grand-father, and precious son of Keith and Lezonia Jones departed this life peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the MUSC Hospital in Lancaster, SC.

Affectionately known as “Chris”, “Christobal”, and “Little Man”, Chris was born and reared in Charlotte, NC, and received his education in Charlotte Mecklenburg schools. Upon graduation from North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville, NC, he attended Central Piedmont Community College where he studied the Construction Trades and later earned a degree in Green Systems Technology.

Chris accepted Christ at an early age and his faith in God remained strong throughout his life. He was a smart, loving, caring person who touched many with his warm smile and caring spirit. Chris was employed in the construction industry until he suffered a serious back injury several years ago. However, he continued work as an independent contractor, and to paint and perform handyman services whenever his health allowed.

Chris loved spending time with family especially at big family dinners. His favorite holiday was Thanksgiving and his late grandmother, Helen Jones and his aunts always made sure he had plenty of collard greens for that special occasion. His favorite NBA team was the Golden State Warriors, and his favorite NFL team was the Kansas City Chiefs.
