Clifford C. Sloan Jr.

Clifford Clarence Sloan, Jr. was born on November 12, 1943, in Mecklenburg County to the late Clifford C. Sloan, Sr. and Mildred G. Sloan. He departed this life into eternal rest, acknowledged on January 13, 2024. He completed his education in the New Jersey School System. After Graduation he decided to relocate with family in Charlotte NC.

Jr. worked for many years and retired from Securitas, Security Services. He was affectionately known by his family and friends as “SCOOTER BOO,” “SCOOTER “or “JR.”

He attended St. Mathews Methodist Church with parents in Newark, New Jersey. Later after relocation attended Love Chapel Presbyterian Church of Belmont.

Scooter was known as a quiet, private, caring and warm spirited person. So meek and mild. No fuss, no drama type of guy. His tall slender frame was another memorable attribute. His warm spirit will be truly missed not just by his family but all that came to know him.

Clifford Jr. preceded in death by his parents, Clifford C. Sloan, Sr., and Mildred G. Sloan; his sister, Devoralaine Ardrey, brother-in-law, Robert Ardrey, his aunts, and uncles that shared a remarkably close relationship in his life.

Clifford Sloan, Jr. celebrates his home going in a peaceful eternal rest. He leaves us with God’s promise of “The Resurrection and the Life Everlasting.” He is survived by his nephews Ruben Ardrey (Peggy) and Terrence P. Ardrey of Charlotte, NC., Aunts and Uncles, a host of other family members, a special lifelong friend and others that loved him dearly.
