Creola Virginia Mcaliley

December 5, 1942 — February 3, 2021

Creola Virginia McAliley entered eternal rest on February 3, 2021, at Huntersville Oaks after battling COPD and COVID-19. She was born December 5, 1939, to Ulysses McAliley and Mary Springs McAliley who both preceded her in death. Creola was a graduate of West Charlotte High School, attended Central Piedmont Community College and retired from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Food in the Nutrition Department where she was a faithful employee for over 30 years. At an early age she joined Tabernacle Baptist Church and later joined Christian Mission Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Superintendent. As a member of the Hymn Choir she served as an Officer. After retirement, she learned to play the piano. She spent much of her spare time caring for her family and studying "Scripture." She was a kind and compassionate soul, but when you ruffled her fathers she was a force to be reckoned with. Creola is survived by her son LeJuan Marquis McAliley, and her adopted son Darryl Johnson; her granddaughter NaDaizh McAliley; four nieces, Dayna Hailey, Juaniza Dewalt, Tinsley Walker, and Tracey Kirk (George); four nephews, Curtis McAliley (Carmen), Larry McAliley, Reginald Ross,and Ulysses McAliley III; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara McAliley Broome of Charlotte, Jerry Elaine McAliley, Gloria Lee Johnson, and Yvonne Hailey; and brothers, Daniel McAliley, Ulysses McAliley, Jr., and James McAliley (Jake).
