Cynthia McCray Sinclair, affectionately known as Cynt, was born in Charlotte, NC on December 5, 1958 to Alma Odessa McCray and Robert Lee McCray (both deceased). A lifelong resident of Charlotte, Cynt lost her battle with cancer on February 13, 2022 at the age of 63. Cynt graduated from Garinger High School where she enjoyed being in ROTC and the lifelong Class of 1977 friendships that she valued.
Cynt loved spending time with family and friends. She especially treasured the moments spent with her precious grandchildren. Cynt spent 28 years working in the airline food service industry. She loved watching Murder Mysteries and the Food Network. She had a passion for cooking and was always preparing home-cooked meals for family and friends. She loved music, dancing, dining at Outback, her favorite restaurant, playing cards and spending time with her “Keno family” at Jay’s Game Room.
During her marriage to Tommie Sinclair (deceased), they raised three children who were the most important part of their life together. Cynt is survived by her sons Antonio McCray and Torrence McCray, and daughter, Yvonna Watson, son-in-law, Qua’darrius Watson; grandchildren, Terrell Brown, Terrence Brown, Quaylon Watson, Quaymir Watson and Ya’khri Watson. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Yazari Watson and her sister, Louisa McCray and brother, Johnny McCray. She is also survived by her brothers Robert McCray, William McCray, Marcus McCray (Andrea) and her sisters, Ida McCray and Almator McCray, her loving aunt, Mrs. Geraldine Woods (Los Angeles) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, especially Ms. Diane Anthony.
