David Bemus Johnson 63, was Born on February 13, 1961 to the late Nancy Bernell Phillips and Palmer Lee Phifer in Charlotte NC. David departed life on July 28, 2024, in Charlotte NC. David was Educated in Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and was previously employed with Moss Supply.

Being the life of the party and loved by many, David was known throughout the city of Charlotte for being a promoter of various events, social gatherings and selling fashionable clothing. His love for people was shown in his demeanor and outgoing personality. The joy of dressing was an art for David, displaying his stylish, fashionable, classy, Lacoste ensembles. Known for the quote “Stay out my Business” was a quote that David would often say.

Preceded in Death by his Parents: Mother Nancy Bernell Phillips, Father Palmer Lee Phifer. Siblings: Brothers Johnny (Jitterbug) Johnson, James (Scoo-Boo) Johnson, Jackie Lewis Johnson, & Jeffrey (Slow Joe) Phifer. Sisters: Mary (Bunch) Alexander, Rosie E. Sinclair, & Sherry Belk.

David is survived by Wife: DeeSonyia Nevins. Children: Son, Antwon Thanipe. Daughters: Monique Nevins, Demetrius Jackson, DeAsia Williams, and JaDavia Nevins. Honorary Daughters: Tara Abraham and Rasheda Gray. Grand Children: Jonavan Walker, Anajha Williams, Antwon Thanipe Jr., Dallas Brand, Jamarea Walker, and Maliyah Nevins.

Siblings: Brother- Fredrick Johnson. Sisters: Katie Bell Ratliff, Jeanette Johnson, Vivian Alexander (James), Vernelle Lyles (David) Jean Duncan (Raft) and Joyce Oates.

A Host of Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins, David was known and referred to by Everyone That Loved Him As: Unk, Uncle Gator, Uncle Snag.

David was Very Loved by So Many and Will Truly Be Missed.
