David was a consummate gardener. Herbs, spices, vegetables, particularly green beans, were his passions. He pinched back, naturally fertilized and de-bugged his plants and those of neighbors and friends.
David loved to be “outside” in the natural elements.
Those natural elements often showed up as fuel for his Thanksgiving “smoked’ turkeys that were looked forward to every year by family members.
David, a native Floridian, was born in Hobe Sound. He spent his formative educational years in both Hobe S
ound and Stuart

Florida. He earned a

in Music
degree
from Morehouse College in
Atlanta

a Master
s of Business Administration

n
David began his professional career with Citibank in New York. This opened up his
dream
opportunity to work in
Lebanon, Greece,
Africa and Saudi Arabia
,
and travel to his favorite cities, Beirut and Singapore.
David’s global view of the world will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him
and with whom he shared great stories of his international experiences
.
An avid musician, friends and family often times would hear
Miles Davis
and
other
“real”
jazz artists in his home. David played the alto saxophone and upright bass fiddle.
He often spoke about being a back-up bass fiddle player for Patty LaBelle.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Ivan Miller and his brother Donald Miller. He leaves to cheri
