Donald William Morgan of Charlotte, NC passed away Saturday, December, 30, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Morgan attended N. C. A&T University where he received a degree in mathematics. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War as Military Police CID.
Mr. Morgan retired from Bank of America after over 35 years of distinguished service, rising to Vice President in the Auditing and Advice and Counsel Departments.
Mr. Morgan had an insatiable love of life. He traveled around the world. He was an avid photographer. He was an accomplished athlete. He also had a passion for gardening and working on his lawn.
Throughout his life Don utilized his wealth of experience to help others. He has been a wise mentor, supportive counselor, expert teacher, trusted advisor, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle.
Donald Morgan was born on July 30, 1943, in Kings Mountain, NC and was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Delcina Morgan and his wife Sybil Childers Morgan.
Leaving behind with precious memories are his beloved wife Brenda of Charlotte, NC; a daughter Nikki (Stephen) Laslo of Chicago IL; two grandsons Alec and Nicholas Laslo of Chicago, IL; a brother Ray Morgan of Charlotte, NC; a niece Italia (Jameth) McKinney of Charlotte NC; a nephew Cameron (Jenille) Morgan of Durham, NC; two great nieces Aria and Symphony McKinney of Charlotte, NC; and a host other relatives and friends.
Friends and Family are available to view Mr. Morgan Wednesday, January 3, 2018 until his scheduled service.
