Dorothy Martin

Mrs. Dorothy Louise Martin, daughter of the late Mitchell Glover and Phyllis Ann Glover, was born on June 23, 1936 in Blackville, South Carolina. Mrs. Martin transitioned from this earthly life to eternity Saturday evening, September 8, 2018. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker for 65 years. She had an open ear to all, with great advice. Mrs. Martin was known as “Dot”. She worshiped at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Dorothy’s life will continue to be celebrated by her family. The family includes husband Spurgeon Martin, Six daughters; Wanda McConico, Patricia Johnson, Diane Martin, Jacqueline Mason, Angela Martin, and Yvette Martin, Two Sons; Spurgeon Martin Jr. and Aundray Martin. Two Son In-Laws; Charles McConico and Conrad Mason.  One Daughter In-Law; Robin Martin. Sister; Rosa Smith and Two Brothers; Marion Nix and preceding Willie James Nix. One Sister In-Law; Gloria Nix; 5 surviving grandsons and 1 preceded grandson, 4 granddaughters, 13 great-grands and a host of nieces and nephews.
