Dorothy Partlow

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Richardson Partlow was born on February 3, 1930, to the late Randolph and Pearlina Cherry Richardson. She departed this life on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. She attended Calvary School and Emmett Scott High School in Rock Hill, SC. At an early age, she gave her life to Christ and joined Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Catawba, SC. She attended Second Calvary Baptist Church and later joined Green Oak Missionary Baptist Church, both in Charlotte. At Green Oak, she served as the President of the Usher Board and member of the Missionary and Trustee Boards. She enjoyed baking homemade pound cakes, traveling with family, and rooting for the Atlanta Braves. She was a member of the White Bouquet Social Club and Brookfield Community Club. She worked at Ed Millen, Stately Lady, and Radiator Specialty. She retired as a Housekeeper. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clinton Partlow; second mother, Mary Massey Richardson; two brothers, Sandy Richardson and Heyward Richardson; and two sisters, Grace Durham and Elizabeth Robinson. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory: son, William Richardson of Charlotte; daughter, La Verne Partlow, of the home; five sisters, Sadie Williams of Rock Hill, SC, Margaret Cheatham of Brooklyn, NY, Gladys Walker (Kenneth) of Raleigh, NC, Annie Richardson of Fort Mill, SC, and Bettye Richardson of Tega Cay, SC; three brothers, James “William” Cheatham (Johnsie) of Brooklyn, NY, John Richardson of Charlotte, NC, and Michael Richardson of Tega Cay, SC; two sisters-in-law, Ibra Richardson and Annie Bell Richardson, both of Rock Hill, SC; one brother-in-law, James Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
