Douglas Hall Glenn, Sr.

Douglas H. Glenn Charlotte - Douglas Hall Glenn, 95, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015. He was born in Fairfield County, SC on November 22, 1919. A WW II veteran, Mr. Glenn worked at the Charlotte Pipe Foundry for over 21 years and retired from the City of Charlotte in 1984. He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. "Pop," as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was an avid fisherman and gardener. He is survived by his wife Susie Glenn, daughter Joanne Glenn Woodard and husband Harold Woodard, son Douglas "Chip" Glenn, and grandchildren Adrian Sifford, Jaren Sifford Pompey, and Simone Dildy. Service will be Friday, January 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm with visitation at 12 noon at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at 1303 Hawthorne Lane. Internment is in York Memorial Gardens.
