James A Frieson was born November 24, 1937 to the late Phillip and Jonni Frieson, in Hartsville SC.He is preceded in death by his brothers Phillip Frieson, William Frieson his sister’s Mary Frieson and Ethline Frieson. James attended Butler High School in Hartsville SC. He was award a full football scholarship to attend Johnson C Smith University in Charlotte NC, shortly afterwards he married his high school sweetheart Essie Mae Frieson and from that union they have 5 children.James further his education when he was called to Pastor. He attend Teamer school of Religion and earned his doctorate degree in Theology. Dr. Frieson was the pastor of Nazareth Primitive Baptist Church for 35 years. Dr. Frieson also was a business man where operated a Laundromat, Service station on Beatties Ford Road. He was the owner of Ronaldo Realty Company which built and owned numerous properties. He also was the owner of the Ritz Theater. He was the first black owner temporary labor agency; Labor Day, Inc.A Gift of Love Ministry since March 1997. Establishing one of the largest food ministries in Charlotte NC which still operates. Dr. Frieson was a man who never met a stranger. He always gave wisdom and made sure you knew the right way to go. He loved God and his family.He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Margaret Frieson of Charlotte NC. Two sons Ronaldo Frieson, Rodgrick (Tonya) Frieson, 3 daughters Ronetta Frieson, Renee’ (Robert) Carmon all from Charlotte NC Ronita Barnes of Greensboro NC, three step children; Frankie White, Jackie(Tony) Blackmon, Corey White from Charlotte NC, One sister Geneva Quarlls of Brooklyn NY.Former wife Ms. Essie Mae Frieson of Charlotte, NC, 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews and friends.
