Duke Cruikshank was born on October 28, 1935, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, to the late Aga Cruikshank and Allie Harry. He peacefully passed away on September 21, 2025, at the age of 89.
He grew up in Diamond Village, where he spent his early years surrounded by family and community. After meeting his beloved wife, he relocated to Chateaubelair, where together they built a loving home and raised their family. Duke was united in marriage to Veronica Cruikshank, his devoted wife of 62 years, who preceded him in death.
Duke was a skilled electrician, beginning his career in his early twenties. His dedication and natural talent in his craft earned him respect and admiration throughout his life.
He is survived by his siblings, Togo Cruikshank and Verna Cruikshank; his children Bert, Kenroy, Orin, Sylvan, Duke, Leroy, Werdo, Crystal,Bullow and Maggwin; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Veronica, and by his children Junior, Noella, Wayneright and Nataaki.
Duke will be remembered for his warmth, resilience, and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the blessing of knowing him.
He will be deeply missed, but forever cherished in memory.
