In Loving Memory of Mr. Earl Donnell Lee

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mr. Earl Donnell Lee, who peacefully departed this life on March 27, 2025, at the age of 72, surrounded by his beloved wife and daughter at Novant Health Hospital. Born on March 2, 1953, Earl was the cherished son of the late George Heath Lee and Mary Alice W. Lee of Monroe, NC.

Earl was a proud graduate of Sun Valley High School in Monroe, NC. He dedicated 18 years of service to Lance, Inc. before transitioning to a remarkable 28+ year career with the United States Postal Service, from which he honorably retired. His unwavering work ethic and kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his dear siblings, Mrs. Saphoronia (Robert) Robinson and Ms. Martha Lee Robinson, both of Charlotte, NC, as well as his brothers, Mr. Robert Lee and Mr. George Lee, both of Monroe, NC. Earl also mourned the loss of his step-son, Bobby Alexander (Skip), of Charlotte, NC, and his beloved relative, Audrey Lee Covington of Monroe, NC.

Earl leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his devoted wife and companion of 53 years, Mrs. Doris Lee of Charlotte, NC. He will be deeply missed by his loving daughter, Yvette Lee, and his stepdaughter, Sharon Alexander, both of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by his sister, Yvonne Lee of Monroe, NC, and his two cherished aunts, Mr. & Mrs. Ruth Morrison of Monroe, NC, and Mrs. Burnie Ivey of Waxhaw, NC. His memory will live on through his three treasured grandchildren, Alexandra Hooper, Edgar Alexander, and Omar Alexander, all of Charlotte, NC.

The Lee family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, visits, calls, and gifts during this time of sorrow. Your support and kindness have provided immense comfort. Earl’s memory and legacy will forever remain in our hearts, a testament to the love and wisdom he shared throughout his life.
