Elizabeth Cornelius (Liz T) Blackmon McCallum born to Rayford Blackmon, Sr. and Dorothy Blackmon Stitt on May 7, 1948. Elizabeth gradutated from West Charlotte High School class of 1966. She attended Central Piedmont Community College. Elizabeth was employed by North Carolina National Bank before moving to Washington, DC. While there, she attended National Institue of Banking and Catholic University. In Washington she was employed by Riggs National Bank for 17 years. Elizabeth moved back home to Charlotte, where she for Carolina Medical Center for over 26 years until retirement.
Elizabeth was a member of Nations Ford Community Church and volunteered her time at The Women's Shelter before succumbing to Dementia /Alzheimer's disease.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her father and 2 sisters Mary Delores and Frances Selena. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother; daughter Aishah, son Omar; 4 sisters Joyce Neal, Doris Taylor, Valerie Blackmon and Beverly Hunter all of Charlotte; 1 brother Rayford Jr. (Tammy) of Greensboro. 1 granddaughter Alissa; 3 grandsons Demetrius, Mekhi, Elijah; 2 great grandchildren Aniah and Brayden; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
