Mrs. Ella Pearl Simmons Cathey went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Presbyterian Hospital Main, surrounded in love by her family. Mrs. Cathey was born April 13, 1933 in Lincolnton, Georgia. Homegoing services will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013 starting at 12:30. Visitation will be from 11:30-12:30, at Greenville Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 6116 Montieth Drive. Charlotte, N.C., 28213. Reverend Sheldon Shipman Officiating. The family also wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the Critical Care Staff at Presbyterian, Dr. Mary Lou Lawson and Dr. William NtIM. Alexander is serving the Cathey Family.
