Elsie Sloan Leslie

Mrs. Elsie Sloan Leslie began her earthly life on May 28, 1925, born to the late William J. Sloan, Sr. and Maggie S. Alexander. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Watt Leslie, Sr., brothers William J. Sloan, Jr., Harry E. Sloan, and sister, Ozener S. Yancey. Mrs. Leslie, of Charlotte, departed this life peacefully at Presbyterian Hospital Main on Sunday, September 15, 2013. Homegoing celebration to honor the life of Mrs. Leslie will be held at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3400 Beatties Ford Rd., Friday, September 20, 2013, at 1:00 pm, visitation 12:00 pm-1:00 pm. Mrs. Leslie is survived by daughter Evelyn L. Daily, son, John W. Leslie, Jr., daughter, Darline P. Leslie, son, Ezra Leslie, son Patrick Leslie, 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
