Mr. Ernest Lee Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the age of73.Ernest was born to parents Ernest Lee Sr. and Diccie Lee Allsbrook on February 27, 1946 inRichburg, South Carolina. He is the third child of six children and attended East Union High School inMarshville, North Carolina. Ernest served in the Army branch of the United States Military and was amember of the Special Forces. He attended The City College of New York in Manhattan, New Yorkand was a brother of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Ernest served as the Assistant Commissioner inthe Department of General Services in Brooklyn, New York. He also served as a Vice President forBank of America in Enterprise Architecture & Technology Consulting.Ernest enjoyed a life well lived, stood with certainty and left with no regrets. He had a great fondnessfor writing, publishing several literary works and actively working on others until his last moments.Ernest leisurely enjoyed spending his days biking throughout the city.Ernest is preceded in death by his parents Ernest Lee Sr. and Diccie Lee Allsbrook; his brotherWilliam Allsbrook; sister Levolia Lawrence. He is survived by his two sisters Lillie M. Lee of Charlotte,North Carolina; Leonia (Barry) Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina; his brother Jerry (Madeline)Allsbrook of Clinton, Maryland; aunt Leonia Grafton of Matthews, North Carolina; his two nieces AmyVillegas McCleave of Charlotte, North Carolina, Candace Garrett Daly of Mableton, Georgia; fournephews Brian (Sheila) Villegas of Charlotte, North Carolina; Reginald S. Villegas of Charlotte, NorthCarolina; Jerry (Tina) Allsbrook II of Clinton, Maryland; Brian (Jamille) Allsbrook of Clinton, Maryland;and fourteen great nieces and great nephews.Ernest also had extended and loving family in both Marshville, NC and South Carolina.An honors ceremony will be held for Mr. Lee at the Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NorthCarolina on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 1:30 pm. A memorial will be held Alexander’sFuneral Home on Friday July 12, 2019 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.
