Eugene Sikes

Mr. Eugene Sikes was born on September 16, 1949 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. He departedhis earthly life on Sunday, January 12. 2020 at the Veteran’s Hospice House in Salisbury, North Carolina.Mr. Sikes was educated in the Chesterfield County School System and upon graduating from HighSchool, he was drafted for the Vietnam War. Upon receiving an Honorable Discharge from the UnitedStates Army, he relocated to the Bronx, New York. Where he resided for 35 years, throughout this timehe studied literature at Fordham University for three years as well as obtaining an occupational trade asa locksmith.In 1995, he relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina to be close to his family. Eugene enjoyed the finerpleasures of life; spending time with his daughters. Transporting customers to and from Wal-Mart andtalking and making friends wherever he went.Mr. Sikes leaves to cherish his memories; two loving and devoted daughters; Amber Sikes of Charlotte,North Carolina and Brianna Sikes of Hampton, Virginia.Brothers: Julius Sikes, Alfred Harris, Durwin Harris, Timothy Harris, and Bartiste Harris. Sisters: AnitaGeter (Dennis), Katie Harris, Wilhelmina Spinner and Felicia Harris. Eugene also leaves a lifelong Armybuddy and best friend; Jack Colbert (Vanessa).The family wishes to express heartfelt condolences to the Staff at Atrium Health Care and Hospice Housein Salisbury, North Carolina.The family will receive friends at the home-2644 Columbus Circle
