Evelyn Delores Howard

Evelyn Delores Howard, known to family and friends as “Lois,” was born on March 26, 1957 in Charlotte, NC to the late Ola Mae Guy and Glouse Howard. She gained her wings on December 30, 2021.

She grew up in Charlotte, attending Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and Central Piedmont Community College. She moved to New York, where she lived for 40 years until she returned home after becoming ill.

She was a free spirit and enjoyed art and talking. Evelyn was a smile to the hearts of many. She is preceded in death by her son, Johnny Leaks.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory three sisters and one brother, Brenda Howard (Phillip), Marie Wallace (Curtis), Lelia Mae Stevenson and Charles Guy (Hannah); one granddaughter, Keshawn Murphy; one great-granddaughter and a host of nieces and nephews.

We love you, our beautiful sister. You will forever live in our hearts.
