Faye Frazier

April 8, 1938 — February 5, 2022

Mrs. Faye Dean Gaddy Frazier was born to Richard and Mamie Dean of Polkton, North Carolina on April 8, 1938. She was the second oldest of a family of ten children.

Faye attended East Polkton High School where she played basketball. She moved to Charlotte, NC in 1964, where she eventually became a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She married Deacon Lincoln Frazier in March of 1982 and joined St. Paul Baptist Church. For more than three decades she served as an active member of the St. Paul’s Deaconess board, Sunday school class #6, Missionary group #2, as well as the usher board. She was also part of the Women’s Day Committee, where she rode on the float for many years. Faye was a faithful member of the Christian Worker Chapter #301. Faye was a godly woman of great courage and strength; she never knew a stranger.

After 31 years of service to Eckerd’s Drug Store, she retired and worked at Charlotte Mecklenburg School system for 7 years.

September of 2011 Faye was diagnosed with dementia. She fought a good fight of faith. She attended Pace of the Southern Piedmont Adult Daycare from March 31, 2017 up until her transition to heaven.

While being the head of her family, Faye was very instrumental in instilling the family concept of unconditional love.

Campbell; brother Richard L Dean Jr.; son-in-law George W. Baker; grandchildren Malakhye Gaddy and Kendra Frazier.
