Gary Leon Lane, Jr.

November 3, 1977 - May 17, 2014 Gary Leon Lane, Jr., affectionately known as JR, grew up in Virginia, enlisted in the military where he served proudly and honorably in the United States Army where he met and married his wife, Alejandra Herrera Lane. He worked for the City of Charlotte as a Traffic Controller II in a supervisory capacity. JR was an active member of Breath of Life Church in Charlotte, NC. JR is survived by his wife, Alejandra Herrera Lane, three children Brittney Wiest, Javonte’ and Jahlil Lane; mother Fontaine Tyler Lane (Wayne Smith); father Gary Leon Lane, Sr; brother Jason Lane; grandmother Eva Mae Tyler; aunt Leontine Wells; uncles Lonnie Lane, Larky Lane, Terry Buck; great aunt Colleen Carlisle; cousin Michael Gault who was like a brother as well as many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Volennis Tyler, uncle, Larry Wells, great uncle Edmund Casey and great aunt Clara Gault. JR was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
