George Willie Mclean

George Willie McLean, 67, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away
on December 26, 2023. He was born on April 19, 1956, to his late parents
OraBelle and James McLean. George was preceded in death by his sister,
Sharon McLean. George was a dedicated and hard­ working individual
who spent much of his career at Cargill, formerly known as C&T Oil
Refinery. He began working at a young age while attending high school
and continued his commitment until his retirement in October 2019. In
addition to his professional accomplishments, George had a passion for
drawing and basketball.

He found joy in expressing his creativity through art and was known for his
talent. On the court, George displayed his athleticism and love for the game.

George will be fondly remembered for his wonderful personality
and interests. He had a great sense of humor, always making others laugh
with his funny remarks. His intelligence and generosity were admired by
those who knew him, and his kindness touched the lives of many.
George was a hard worker who approached life with determination and
perseverance. He was also a loving individual who cared deeply for his family and friends.

George is survived by his former wife, Ellen McDowell; his daughter,
Denitra McDowell; his brothers, James and William McLean; his sisters,
Magdalene and CoraBelle McLean; his nieces, Stacie Graham and
Deborah McLean, and his nephew James McLean. Their love and memories
will forever keep George's spirit alive.

May George rest in peace, knowing that he has left a lasting impact on the lives of
those who had the privilege of knowing him.
