Gloria J. Mciver

Gloria Jean McIver, affectionately known as "Aunt Glo," was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. She passed away on July 3rd, 2024, at Novant Hospital in Charlotte, NC, after bravely battling cancer for over 23 years.

Gloria attended Myers Park High School and graduated from Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) with a degree in dietary management. She dedicated 32 years of her career to Novant Health, retiring in 2021. Gloria had a passion for cooking, cherished Christmas, and loved hosting big family gatherings. She was known for her unwavering strength, always upbeat demeanor, and deep love for her family.

She is survived by her children, Shawn McIver (Monice) and Tonya McIver Gray (Anthony); her grandchildren; her sister, Libby McMillan (Terry); her brothers, Anthony Edward and Norman Edward; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sara McIver, and her four sisters.

Following the service, we will be fellowshipping at Gloria's house at 1007 Johnson St., Charlotte, NC.

Gloria's favorite saying was "Luv Luv Jesus." She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
