Gregory "Greg" Burton, Jr.

Gregory Burton, Jr., the son of Gregory Burton, Sr., and Joyce Ross, was born on May 9, 1978, in Charlotte, NC. Gregory, also known as “Greg” and “Little Greg,” beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and uncle departed this life on January 3, 2021. Greg spent 21 years of his life as a professional semi-truck driver. He began driving trucks at the age of 18. Greg was also an entrepreneur and community friend with a landscaping business he owned and managed for 19 years. Greg was married to his wife TreNita “Nikki” Burton for 22 years. They met in the 8th grade and married in 1998. They affectionately called each other by their pet names, “Bo-Bo” and “Nik.” Greg loved his wife and family passionately and did whatever he could to support them. He always went out of his way to help others regardless of what they needed. He had a very kind heart and would never say no. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Greg is survived by his wife, TreNita “Nikki” Burton; daughter, TreNesha Hamilton; son, Gregory Burton; grandson, Chastain Hamilton; father, Gregory Burton Sr.; mother, Joyce Ross; sisters, Latisha Smith-Peele and Gwendolyn Burton; nieces, Regina Smith and Imanni Miller; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
