Gwendolyn Holt

Mrs. Gwendolyn “Sookie” Holt was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on February 12, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Ulysses Holmes and Mrs. Annie Hunter Holmes.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Mr. Lee James Holt, Sr., her second husband, Mr. Robert Lee Baxter and son-in-law Arthur Richardson.

Mrs. Holt was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mother hen of North Charlotte.

She entered into eternal rest on February 8, 2022 at Hospice of Union County. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Richardson, Sandra Holt (Thomas) and Shawnte Anthony; one son, Mr. Lee James Holt, Jr. (Latisha); two sisters, Mrs. Blandy Smith and Mrs. Jeannie Walker; five grandchildren, Patrick Dunlap, Destiny Cooper, Sean Anthony, Journee Anthony and Christion Holt; one great-grandchild; sister-in-law Rachel Edwards; nephew, Detrick Booker and a host of other relatives and friends.
