Mr. Harvey Hyatt, son of the late James and Margie Bowler Hyatt, was born in Charlotte, NC on October 23, 1943. He departed his earthly life on Saturday, September 29, 2018. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Arthur “Dickie” Hyatt and Henry “Nig”, “Rico” Lee Hyatt, Sr. Harvey received his education in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg public school system, graduating in June 1961 from Second Ward High School. He was a devoted worker at Siemens retiring after 45 years. At an early age Harvey joined Shiloh Institutional Baptist Church. Later his church membership would change to Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church. Harvey’s greatest passion was his love of bowling. He was a faithful bowler for over 40 years, bowling on several leagues and always attending several bowling tournaments and events. He also faithfully enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Harvey Hyatt leaves to cherish his fond memories are: his devoted and loving wife, Barbara J. Hyatt, his daughters, Sonya Simpson Clark (Terry), Adriane Hyatt and Zandra Hyatt, all of Charlotte, NC; his sons, Lawrence Hyatt and Malcolm Hyatt of Charlotte, NC; sisters-in-law, Ethel Hyatt, Corrie Mae White (Willie), Willie Mae Stitt of Charlotte, NC, Vernell Robinson of McBee, SC, Cora Seegars and Belinda Kibler (Acie) of Bethune, SC; brothers-in-law, Reverend Clarence Johnson (Janie) of Baltimore, MD, Larry Johnson of Bethune, SC and Arthur Stitt of Charlotte, NC; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom will miss Harvey dearly.
