Helen C. Shipman, 93, went on to glory on Jan. 30, 2014. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Greater Bethel AME Church, 5232 The Plaza Charlotte, NC 28215. Visitation is at 11am. Homegoing celebration is at 12 noon. Burial will be in York Memorial Park Cemetery.
