James Edward Cloud was born June 16, 1954 to Beatrice Cloud McCrorey and Frank House in Chester, South Carolina. He was given a nickname Tasia by his grandmother which many people referred to him as.
James had a deep intimacy with God, unwavering integrity and nurturing protection for his family, seeing them through God’s grace, always leading with love, and spiritual guidance. He prioritizes his personal, intimate relationship with God, seeking His guidance daily.
At an early age James had a natural gift for working with his hands. He found joy in building, fixing, and creating, always eager to take things apart and put them back together. This passion for hands-on work inspired by his uncle Fuzzy, led him to pursue a career as a mechanic, where he became known for his sharp problem-solving skills and his dedication to getting the job done right.
James had a deep love for music, which was a constant source of comfort and joy throughout his life.
In 2012, he married the love of his life, Donna, and together they shared a deeply meaningful and spiritual bond. They recently celebrated their wedding anniversary on the 15th of December, a moment that reflected the love, faith, and commitment that defined their life together. Their marriage was rooted in faith, compassion, and mutual devotion. James will be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, and deep spirituality. He lived his life guided by faith and belief, touching many through his generosity, humility, and steady presence.
James Edward Cloud departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was preceded in death by his Father, Frank House, his mother, Beatrice Cloud McCrorey, his Step-Father- Joseph McCrorey, son James Cloud Jr, daughter: Sonazera Lindsey, grandson, Denzel Springs, two brothers John Barber, and Lantrel Barber., uncles: John Cloud-(slow) & LA Cloud.
He leaves to cherish his wife Donna Maria who faithfully and lovingly cared for him, a true testament to her love and strength. His brother’s, David Barber, Leroy Barber; Sisters, Hattie Cloud, Lorie Hill, Lilly Barber, Bobbie Wine (Jacques), daughters Janel and Corrine (Telly), Sons-Troy Herbert (Lory), Manuelo West, Darius West and wife Icynda, eight grands and one great-grand and a host of other cousins, nieces and nephews.
