James C. Gaither

James Cedric Gaither, known as JC to friends and colleagues, 52, unexpectedly from earth to glory on December 9, 2024. He was born on October 4, 1972 in Charlotte, NC to Frances McCauley Gaither, and the late James I. Gaither. He attended South Mecklenburg High School, graduating with honors and then went on to complete both his Bachelor's and his MBA. He was pursuing his PhD at the time of his passing focusing on minorities in data analysis and strategic management.

Cedric was employed with Mass Mutual as a Strategic Consultant in Operations and had been with the company for over 20 years. While he worked in the corporate setting, he was passionate about assisting and working with minority non-profits and mentoring minorities. Cedric was a consummate professional with a positive outlook on both life and work.

Cedric was preceded in death by his father, James Israel Gaither.

He is survived by his loving mother, Frances Gaither, his beloved sister, Cynthia Gaither Miller (Ronald), Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.
