James Moreland

James E Moreland, 74 of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away peacefully while at home on Sunday June 3, 2018.  Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 10, to Ellison Rawlinson and the late Eula Wright is where Jim loved and lived the majority of his life.

He was a very passionate, caring person who enjoyed being with his family and friends and was previously employed by the City of Pittsburgh.  Fishing, hunting and shooting were some of his favorite pastimes.  An avid marksman he often competed in and won numerous awards.

Jim is survived by his wife and best friend of 45 years Karen, three children Monique “Nicki” and Mark Moreland of Pittsburgh and Stacey Lynn Moreland of Charlotte.  He also leaves his beloved six-grandchildren; one-great-grandchild; six-siblings and a host of relatives and lifelong friends.

Interment will be at Sunset memory Gardens immediately following the funeral service.
